A SkillsUSA Week Message from the State Officer Team

My name is Natasha and I am one of your New Jersey SkillsUSA state officers. This year, my fellow officer, Ameila, and I wanted to bring all the chapters together to celebrate SkillsUSA week.

We would like to make a video showing our appreciation to SkillsUSA and it’s sponsors for everything they have done for us. SkillsUSA has provided us all with the opportunity to learn and grow.

If each chapter could pass this message on to their members and have them record a short 30-second video saying “Thank you SkillsUSA” or even an anecdote of something they have learned that would be great. The video should be horizontal and sent no later than January 29, 2021. This is open to all members and advisors and we hope that everyone will participate.

Please email the videos to with the subject “RecDay Video 2021.”

Thank you, from Natasha and Amelia, NJ SkillsUSA State Officers

The National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) Scholarship is Now Open!

SkillsUSA has teamed up with the National Technical Honor Society to promote outstanding student achievement within career and technical education. SkillsUSA is encouraging chapters to consider participation in the honor society as part of their annual program of work.

NTHS will award four $1,000 scholarships to SkillsUSA members, two for high school members and two for college/postsecondary members.

To be eligible, students must be active, dues-paying members of both SkillsUSA and NTHS. To apply, schools must have an active NTHS chapter, which includes submission of a charter application and approval from the school administration.

In the event that a qualified college/postsecondary member is not recommended by the scholarship committee, the available college/postsecondary scholarships will be awarded to high school students instead. For more information and to apply, visit
