SkillsUSA Week gives state associations, advisors and student members the opportunity to promote SkillsUSA programs and activities at the local and state levels.

Take Up the Challenge! National Conference Pin and T-Shirt Design
Any paid SkillsUSA member can enter the SkillsUSA Conference Pin and T-shirt Design Challenge. This is a great way to have a student and advisor from your state recognized. Rules are posted on the SkillsUSA website at: www.skillsusa.org/competitions/pin-design-challenge/. Questions may be directed to Heidi Walsh at 703-737-0615 or by email to email@example.com. Feb. 5 is the deadline for entries.
Oregon Chapter Wins New Video Contest
David Molden of St. Helens (Ore.) High School is the winner of the Celebrate SkillsUSA video contest. His advisor is Joe Mauck. The St. Helens High chapter has won a visit from SkillsUSA executive director Tim Lawrence, Kayleen McCabe of “Rescue Renovation” and national officers Hunter Radford and Brenna Stinnett. The visit will take place on Feb. 9.

Do You Have ‘The Voice’ to Open Conference?
SkillsUSA is seeking talented student or adult performers to sing the national anthem at the opening ceremony of the National Leadership and Skills Conference. Audition videos can be submitted on CD or DVD and must be the singing of the national anthem. Please be sure each disc is marked with your name, address, school name and email address. Email submissions are not accepted. Send auditions to Heidi Walsh, SkillsUSA, 14001 SkillsUSA Way, Leesburg, VA 20176. For questions, contact her at 703-737-0615 or firstname.lastname@example.org. SkillsUSA does not pay travel expenses for the selected singer to attend the national conference. Auditions must be received by Feb. 2.
